Great amazing story and teaching

BUT

Hasidim to Seinfeld?

Kinda ignores majority of Jewish Experiences...EuroAmerican Hegemonistic?

Talmudic pre dates and our story telling is over 3000 years not 1700s to present..

And began in Levant to Persia not the Pale and NYC...

I was raised on Lenny Bruce but know he studied Redd Fox and others

This is an amazing and wonderful endeavor, the JTS MFA. I graduated from a low-residency MFA at Goucher College in creative nonfiction in 2001. It was the first program of its kind, a winning structure. In 2006, I completed the Shaindy Rudolff Program at Bar-Ilan in fiction. Etgar, if you're looking for local mentors in Israel, I'm here.

My mother was also a Holocaust survivor. Etgar was a favorite author (I would say the favorite except she was such a voracious reader and had many she loved. She is now gone so I can’t ask if he is the favorite). She tells her Holocaust experiences and lessons as stories. I co-wrote them in a memoir The Lindens Still Bloom.

If you read the book, I would be very pleased to hear your thoughts.

Good luck to Etgar in leading the new program. I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I think you’ve just about covered the majority of the 613 … Mazal tov, toda, you make this world a better, more thoughtful, beautifully-imaginative, -real and -place. May this initiative be one taken up in other countries, too.🤗

WOW, what a line-up!

At first I thought this was an April Fools joke. Too great to be real!?

Alas, just wish I was more courageous, more accomplished, richer and younger...I would have jumped right in.

All the best to the best of the best!

I look forward to relishing your creations.

🐣The irony is: I do not believe I'm ready...maybe in a year or two🐛 IF I can find that eternal fountain- of -youth AND win a lottery!
