The Most

The short story “The Most” came out 35 years ago, as a comic strip created with the talented Rutu Modan. A lot of the pieces I wrote back then for Rutu seemed right for that point in time, but were somehow forgotten over the years. But “The Most” is one I find myself going back to every so often. Maybe that’s because the one sport I’ve always been really good at is wanting—especially what I can’t have.
